As part of its commitment to Greater Hazleton, the Slusser Law Firm recently made a donation to a local 5K/10K race.
The firm served as a sponsor for the inaugural Hazleton Town and Trail 5K/10K Race, contributing a $500 Social Responsibility Sponsorship. The 5K/10K race was held on Saturday, October 18, with runners and walkers beginning and ending at the trailhead of the Greater Hazleton Rails to Trails. Participants in the 5K Run/Walk headed out and back on the rail-trail to the Dreck Creek Reservoir. Participants in the 10K run followed Broad Street to the downtown core and then looped twice along Laurel and Wyoming Streets before heading back to the finish line.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Greater Hazleton Area Civic Partnership, Greater Hazleton YMCA/YWCA and Hazleton POWER.
Participating in the check presentation are, from left: Bob Skulsky, executive director, Greater Hazleton Area Civic Partnership; Attorney Chris Slusser, The Slusser Law Firm; Mark Rakhmilevich, AmeriCorps OSM/VISTA, Greater Hazleton Area Civic Partnership; and Robert Kotansky, interim CEO, Greater Hazleton YMCA/YWCA.
